Q. Where is your Australian wine from?
A. Australia, and we don’t have any Dutch Beer from Denmark either!
Q. Are you an Independent operator or part of a multiple?
A. We are a fully independent retail grocery operator and are not a part of any multiple group like Dunnes Stores, Supervalu, Tesco, EuroSpar, Lidl, Aldi or Londis. We are a family owned and family run business.
Q. Where do you source all your fresh produce?
A. As far as possible, we source fresh produce from local sources. We work very closely with a lot of North County Dublin producers to give you the very best local produce.
Q. Where do you source your meat?
A. We constantly endeavour to source the best quality meat locally, currently we source almost all of our red meat from Ashbourne Meats, who have a farm of Angus Cattle just outside Slane, County Meath. All of our fresh deef is Irish, we dry age it to perfection to give you the best quality beef possible. Our master butchers in-store can prepare, cut and advise you on all our choice cuts.
Q. Can I get the best leg of lamb from you?
A. Yes, you can have the right leg or the left one, just ask one of our master butchers.
Q. Can I get a deal on cases of Wine in J.C’s?
A. In most cases, yes. Just ask for Barry Savage and he’ll see if he can give you the best price when you are buying more than 12 bottles of wine. Although, in some cases, the prices are so low that we cannot lower them any further. Sometimes the deals are so good customer quotas may apply.
Q. When do you have your Fiver Fridays?
A. We have them at different times every couple of months. We always advertise them in advance on Facebook, through our mailing list and through leaflet drops in North County Dublin.
Q. Where do I get a “No junk mail, J.C’s leaflets ONLY!” sticker?
A. Just ask at the customer service desk, a member of staff would be delighted to help you.
